To support our green initiatives, we have carefully reviewed our operations to find ways to contribute to the long-term health of both our ecosystem and workforce.

• In-House Practices: We’ve introduced reusable mugs for employees and eliminated single-use paper items. Additionally, we upgraded the lighting in our warehouse, replacing inefficient old wiring with modern electrical systems and LED bulbs. This not only reduces waste and energy consumption but also improves employee safety by providing better visibility, which in turn decreases the likelihood of workplace injuries.
• Field Operations: In our field service jobs, we’ve reevaluated the materials and gear we use. For example, when using Fenner Dunlop splice materials to vulcanize conveyor belts, we meticulously plan and prep kits to minimize material waste. By considering both current and upcoming jobs, we reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills. We’ve also invested in high-quality, durable equipment and clothing for our service workers, reducing the frequency of replacements and contributing to less waste overall.
• Upcycling Used Conveyor Belts: One of the most challenging items to recycle or repurpose is used conveyor belts due to their complex construction. However, we’ve discovered creative ways to repurpose them for community benefit. For instance, we donate used conveyor belts to cover rough surfaces on playgrounds, enabling children in wheelchairs to navigate these areas more easily. By repurposing these materials, we not only divert them from landfills but also create opportunities for inclusivity and fun for everyone.
